This router replaces a netgear running openwrt, the system is running great but I do not see the 5ghz antenna in my laptop (which I can use with the netgear router). I have tried different frequencies but I do not seem to get this to work on my own. Any help greatly appreciated.

WRT3200ACM-5Ghz radio not working on openwrt 19.07.3 and on original FW. Hello, my parents have 2 WRT3200ACM routers i gave them, both with latest build of openwrt (19.07.3). The first one connects to the internet upstairs and distributes Wifi to the 2nd floor. The second one is connected downstairs, using LAN cable from the 2nd floor, and with DHCP disabled (It has its own IP address).
The 5GHz part of the WHR-600D will not connect to my TEW-812DRU(v2) (also running DD-WRT, latest beta). When doing a site survey I get nothing on the 5GHz band (doesn't appear to work), turning off encryption makes no difference. The 2.4GHz portion connects just fine in client mode, and the 5GHz band works just fine in AP mode.
5GHz hotspot is working perfectly on all my devices except for Nintendo Switch, it needs 2.4GHz hotspot even though Switch supports 5GHz wifi. But I found other bug in hotspot settings, I cant save settings if I change hotspot security settings from wpa to wpa2.
The 5GHz wifi connections was working for about a week after I began using Gargoyle but then it randomly stopped working without anyone changing anything. Aug 20, 2019 · In current versions of OpenWrt you get a “Configuration has been rolled back!” alert which is because of the changed ip address your browser and the router cannot communicate anymore. This is perfectly normal. Please just click Apply unchecked and wait till the (also normal) “Device unreachable” message appears. Changes happened, when I created a new network for radio1 via the LUCI webinterface. The new network should offer my guests a 5Ghz wifi (instead of the 2.4Ghz that was already active). After creating and configuring the interface, LUCI fires some scripts to reconfigure the wifi interfaces in OpenWRT. Well, the 5Ghz did not come back online.
The 2.4GHz band is working perfectly, the 5GHz not so. The first version of OpenWRT I installed had no support at all for the 5GHz mode, I had to dig out from the openwrt mailing-lists that something was under way to add support for it, find the right rxxxx release, compile it myself and install it, only to be disappointed.

Posted this earlier and upgraded firmware to V1.3.1.44_10.1.23, still no luck. 5GHz radio is enabled but LED stays solid and there's the red X against it in the status page. SSID broadcast is enabled but doesn't show up in the SSID list. Laptop and phones both support 5GHz.
